I am a contemporary artist living in Scotland but was born in Oldham, England. My distinctive personal style expresses myself, life and brings meaning to my work. Humanity, past and what is going on around us in the world is what inspires me with the inclusion of bright colours contradicting what is seen.
My current theme is the ‘Lunatic Asylum’ gaining inspiration from where the college is situated on the grounds of the old 'Lunatic Asylum' and what reference this title held.
I have a history of mental health issues within my own family, so this subject is personal to me. This year, I have been particularly interested in ceramics, painting, mixed media, and printmaking. I am enjoying my collaborative exploration into these subjects and the creative possibilities I have found so far. I welcome you on my journey.
